Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago, In my opinion this is a wonderful book. Yet those memories can be awakened and brought forth fresh and new, just by something you’ve seen, or something you’ve heard, or the sight of an old familiar face.

He didn’t belong in town. We would love to see the movie made from this book, but honestly, I don't know how the movie could stack up against the book. His relationships with the dogs grow and the three become inseparable. It was too much for him and he took off down the street, squalling like a scalded cat. The main character is a young boy who is devoted to his dogs. For a second I saw him. You know what I mean, one of those rare days when everything is right and nothing is wrong.
